Arne Cartridge is an innovator and driver of new models for sustainable development and public private partnerships within the food and agriculture sector. He is currently a Special Adviser on Sustainable Development and is heading up Global Initiatives at Yara International and Chair of the Varda Foundation. Formerly Executive Director for Grow Africa and Senior Director at the World Economic Forum, and between 2004 and 2010 Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing and Communication Officer with Yara International. He has also held senior management positions with Telenor, Gazette, and Digital Equipment Corp.
Arne Cartridge has a long track record of catalyzing and driving multistakeholder partnership including being the initiator and Executive Director of the African Green Revolution Forum (now the African Food Systems Forum) and the driver setting up the Africa Food Prize (initially the Yara Prize) and has served as the Chairman of the Board for the humanitarian organization CARE Norway, been on the board of CARE International and on the board of the Global Fairness Initiative. He was part of the core team initiating the SAGCOT corridor partnership for Tanzania. Arne was also part of the initial management team setting up the Food and Land Use Coalition (FOLU), has been the Executive Director of the IMAGINE Food Collective, the Chair of the Farm to Market Alliance (FtMA) and the Chair of Generation Africa initiative which he co-designed .
