About Speaker

Archil Bakuradze is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board at JSC Microbank Crystal (Bank Crystal), a leading financial institution in Georgia serving over 100,000 customers with a loan portfolio of approximately $200 million. As co-founder, he plays a central role in shaping the bank’s strategic direction and ensuring sound corporate governance.

He is also the Founder and CEO of JSC Lotus Impact Finance, an investment and strategic management company focused on advancing MSME finance across the South Caucasus and Central Asia.

Archil was elected to the Board of Directors of the Microfinance Centre (MFC) in 2021 and became President of its Council in 2023. His longstanding commitment to ethical finance is exemplified by his leadership as former Chairman of the Georgian Microfinance Association, where he led the adoption of the industry’s Code of Ethics.

In addition to his corporate roles, Archil is actively engaged in the non-profit sector. A Chevening Scholar, he earned his MBA from Lancaster University Management School in 2004. He is also a fellow of the John Smith Trust (2000) and recipient of the international van Heuven Goedhart Award from the Dutch Refugee Foundation, Stichting Vluchteling (2003), recognizing his early contributions to social impact.
